A specialized retirement-income and tax-sequencing optimizer for households approaching or already in retirement.
Retire confidently — and keep more of it.
Let the optimizer find the withdrawal strategy that best serves your goal.
A married couple, 65 and 63, with $1.5M saved ($400k taxable · $900k IRA · $200k Roth), spending $100k a year, Social Security of $66k from ages 70 and 67.
Bracket-aware sequencing fills the 22% bracket from the IRA early, so RMDs never push the couple into higher brackets later.
- $100k spent every year, in today's dollars, after tax
- $145k less lifetime tax than conventional deferral
- 93% of 400 random market paths funded every year
- $1.8M left as a legacy at 95, in today's dollars
Computed by the same engine you'll use, on the sample household above — not a stock chart. Your numbers will differ.
-
Project
Every year of your retirement, after federal and state tax, Medicare surcharges and RMDs.
-
Optimize AI-powered
Intelligently seeks out the best strategy for the goal you choose: most spending, least tax, or the largest legacy.
-
Prove
Stress-test the result across a thousand market paths, then export it to PDF or Excel.
How it works
-
Enter your facts
Ages, spending, Social Security, pensions, and your taxable, IRA and Roth balances. Fifteen minutes, in today's dollars.
-
Pick a goal
Most spending, least lifetime tax, or the largest legacy. The optimizer tunes the withdrawal order, bracket ceiling and Roth conversions to serve it.
-
See the model — and the proof
Year-by-year results, a plain-language explanation of the drawdown, Monte Carlo odds, and PDF or Excel export.
Learn more: what the model covers and how the optimizer works
It runs the full 2026 tax picture each year — federal and state tax, Social Security taxation, Medicare (IRMAA) surcharges, RMDs, a fixed-index annuity, and (where they apply) a mortgage and a late-life long-term-care event — then reports your lifetime after-tax income, the taxes you'll pay, and what's left as a legacy, with a plain-language explanation of the withdrawal order behind it.
You can save several named models and compare approaches side by side. Subscribers unlock the advanced analysis: the maximum sustainable spending your model supports, a strategy comparison, an A/B optimizer that refines your model toward a goal you choose, first-death (widow's-penalty) modelling, a Roth-conversion "what if," a mortgage-payoff "what if," a Monte Carlo simulation that scores your odds of success across a thousand market paths, and one-click PDF and Excel export.
Refine your strategy automatically (A/B). This changes how you draw money down, not your financial facts — your balances, returns, and time horizon stay exactly as you entered them. Pick a goal (the most spending you can sustain, the least lifetime tax, or the largest legacy) and the model tunes the four withdrawal levers behind your Withdrawal strategy:
- Sequencing mode — conventional vs. bracket-aware order
- Taxable-income ceiling — the bracket it fills up to each year
- Aggressive fill — on/off: whether to withdraw tax-deferred money up to the top of your target bracket even beyond what you need that year (reinvesting the surplus in taxable), to shrink future RMDs and the survivor's tax jump — versus withdrawing only up to your spending need
- Optional Roth-conversion window — on/off, plus start and end age
It presents the result as model B beside your current model A, so you can see exactly which levers moved — and if you adopt it, B is saved back as a Custom Withdrawal strategy on the Inputs page. The search uses an evolutionary AI algorithm (differential evolution), running the full tax engine across many candidate strategies and keeping the best, so every result is a real, explainable model you could have set by hand.
